Wildlife Credits products are co-designed by Wildlife Credits’ national partners and conservancies in response to proactive conservation measures identified and being pursued by community members. Key criteria in the development of Wildlife Credits products include conservation value, scientific credibility, economic feasibility, donor willingness to pay, and community commitment to long-term conservation impact.

The product aims to maintain a healthy population of lions while rewarding community tolerance, protection and management of lions in the landscape.

Wildlife Sightings

For every sighting of iconic or endangered species, local payments from lodges or conservancies, matched by international donors, are paid into a Local Conservation Area Fund.
