Nature is everyone's business

Wildlife Credits Namibia provides an opportunity to contribute to the conservation of valuable species and ecosystems, by incentivizing and rewarding rural communities who carry a disproportionately large burden of the costs that come with living with wildlife. As a supporter of Wildlife Credits, you will help both communities and wildlife to thrive.

Because of its performance-based payment system, Wildlife Credits tracks independently verified results of conservation impact. Wildlife Credits therefore directly contributes towards global and/or national targets, such as the 30×30 Global Biodiversity Goals.

How to get involved

Whether you are an individual, donor, or a business who wants to contribute to conservation in Namibia, there are several ways to support Wildlife Credits, helping keep wildlife on the land, rewarding communities for pro-active conservation results.
Visit conservancy joint venture lodges

If you can – and we hope you will – visit one of the lodges in Namibia that have been part of Wildlife Credits. You will not only have a great wildlife and Namibian experience, but you will also contribute every time you see a lion, elephant, rhino, hyaena, crocodile or other iconic species conserved by the participating lodges.

Make a donation
You can also simply make a donation. Wildlife Credits is supported by WWF and NACSO, so you can be assured that your credit will be going where credit is due: to conservancies living and working with wildlife. Contact us to discuss how to donate.
Become a corporate sponsor
The World Economic Forum has estimated that more than half of global GDP, approximately $44 trillion, is dependent on nature. We take from nature, and we must give back. Corporates put this into practice through a range of policies and actions including Environmental, Social and Governance standards.

Wildlife Credits provides a credible and verified source of proven conservation impact that corporates can add to their nature-based reporting structures. Corporate sponsors can not only make donations, but can match and increase the funds generated locally and explore creative partnerships with Wildife Credits that raise awareness of the conservation needs and coporate involvement. Please contact us to explore ways in which your business can partner with Wildlife Credits.

Wildlife Credits is a completely not-for-profit initiative, supported both financially and technically through a variety of partners. At least 80% of your investments will go directly to the communities concerned, the remaining part contributing to monitoring and management oversight.
